The European institutions reached an agreement at the end of March 2022 on the Digital Markets Act, a law aimed at regulating the activities of the major digital platforms.
The text, which has been under discussion since 2020, aims to ensure the competitiveness and fairness of the digital sector in Europe. To this end, a series of rules established by the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council will make it possible to identify companies that tend to erect monopolies in the sector.
