Gatewatcher announces a €25 Million Fundraising Round

Gatewatcher, a European cybersecurity leader in intrusion detection and advanced threats, has announced its first round of funding. The €25 million round is being led by Move Capital Fund I, a growth equity fund (managed by Kepler Cheuvreux Invest), with €15 million in equity and several financial partners providing €10 million in non-dilutive financing.

Gatewatcher markets AIonIQ, an NDR (Network Detection & Response) platform combining artificial intelligence with advanced mapping functions to protect digital infrastructures and the cloud against cyber threats. Gatewatcher’s also offers the ANSSI-qualified Trackwatch solution, which ensures the protection of deemed “vital operators”, and LastInfoSec, a Cyber Threat Intelligence solution that offers enriched information on threats specifically targeting a sector or organisation.

Founded in 2015 by Jacques de La Rivière and Philippe Gillet, Gatewatcher has more than 70 employees in France and abroad. 100% self-financed since its creation, the company has experienced strong growth thanks to the quality of its products, which drastically reduce cyber risk by detecting cyber threats upstream, and protect companies of all sizes, as well as government and other critical organisations.

 

Two priority areas of development for this first round of funding

In addition to expanding Gatewatcher’s international presence, the company also aims to further provide quality technical offerings that meet the needs of businesses of all sizes. « Our advanced solutions provide an immediate improvement to current cybersecurity issues and a tailored response to the new detection needs of organisations thanks to a 360° view of cyber threats. They combine machine learning algorithms with various state-of-the art network traffic analysis methods. They are designed to be scalable and immediately operational for easy integration. This fundraising will allow us to deploy sales forces in France and internationally and to support our R&D efforts, » adds Jacques de la Rivière.
